PSE's Operations Support team is looking for qualified candidates to fill an open Senior Operations Specialist position!

Job Description
The Senior Operations Specialist will perform intensive review, approval and tracking of all types of service provider utility-level gas and electric construction billing invoices, including smart metering, purchase requisitions. They assist in financial, statistical, and operational studies to support initiatives and on-going informational reporting needs of PSE Operations teams.
Additionally, the Senior Operation Specialist supports department functions including capital and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) budget reporting and tracking, and all types of service provider invoice review processing. They assist in financial, statistical, and operational studies to support initiatives and on-going informational / reporting needs of Operations. They also support the development of system and process improvements and solutions.

Job Responsibilities
- Depending on area of emphasis, receives and audits simple and complex service provider gas job packets for completeness, data integrity, correct account coding, and documentation via on-line systems (SAP, Ariba, Locusview, Esri, OpenText, etc.) and other sources such as electronic (MTT) and red-lined as-builts.
- Develops Ad hoc Reporting with minimal assistance.
- Collects and analyzes cost and operational data from internal and external resources.
- Supports Operations capital and O&M budgeting and monthly reporting process, using specific methodologies for evaluation and prioritization, and producing regular reports to monitor performance.
- Performs routine accounting functions, such as journal entries. Maintain the accuracy of financial records by ensuring that for every transaction, the total debits equal the total credits.
- Researches and resolves data, accounting and forecast problems. Preparing reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders and management.
- Performs weekly/monthly problem order review and order clean-up functions.
- Provides training and mentoring to other team members and departments on work processes. Assess training needs and provide ongoing guidance to help employees improve their skills and perform tasks effectively.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- AA/AS in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent experience.
- 2 years experience in department or related field.
- Knowledge of FERC (Federal Energy Regulatory Commission) Accounting.
- Experience in Process Improvement techniques.
- Experience with MS Office Suite including Access and Visio.
- Outstanding attention to detail.
- Ability to balance and prioritize multiple responsibilities to meet plans & goals.
- Ability to work effectively to tight deadlines in a fast paced environment.
- Excellent communications skills with the ability to present information in a professional manner.
- Works effectively in a matrix environment.
Desired Qualifications
- Proficient in review of complex utility-level electric construction billing invoices.
- Proficiency with BW.
- Experience working in the gas and/or electric industry.

The pay range for this position is $59,300.00 - $92,100.00, and this position is eligible for annual goals based incentive bonuses.
