How we hire
At PSE we’re always looking for new talent that has a unique perspective and can bring valuable ideas to the team. We look forward to the possibility of you helping us drive the mission to deliver safe, reliable energy at an affordable price.
We have been listening to your feedback and have worked to make the hiring process a better experience for you as a candidate. When you apply for a job, your application materials are instantly shared with the hiring team and manager for the position.
We take the time to carefully consider all applications to ensure you are the right match for the role. After assessing the qualifications of those who have applied, a member of the PSE team may contact you by your preferred notification preference (i.e., email or call) for an assessment, phone interview, and/or a face-to-face interview. Most of our interviews are conducted by an interview selection panel, so you’ll have the opportunity to meet 3-5 members of the PSE team. If you are selected for the position, you will hear from the Recruiter with information to offer details.
We are committed to a fair and equitable hiring process. If for any reason you are not selected for the role, you will be notified directly.

Applying at PSE
How do I set up my username/password?
You can create a profile by clicking “My Profile” on the Careers Home page.
From there you will be able to create a new account.
Why should I create a profile?
A profile is an online resume that you can use to apply for opportunities at Puget Sound Energy. Keep your profile up to date with work experience, education and contact information. Save time and stay organized with these automated features:
- Upload your resume to auto-populate your candidate profile information
- Search current PSE job opportunities
- Set up a job alert to receive notifications for positions that match your criteria
- Track the status of your PSE job applications
How do I apply for a position?
Applying to a job at PSE is easy! You can search current open positions using keywords, PSE campus location, job category, and other criteria.
- Click on the job title to open the position description
- Use the "Apply now" button to open your candidate profile
- Review and update your profile information and answer job specific questions
- Click "Apply now"
Can I apply for more than one job at the same time?
Yes! You’re encouraged to review our many opportunities and apply for those that match your skills and qualifications. All information in your candidate profile will be saved so you won't need to re-enter your work experience, education, etc. Just sign-in and easily apply!
Can I submit my resume without applying for a specific job?
Yes! You can create a profile and upload your resume when you join our Talent Community. Once you've joined, your information will be made available to our recruitment team who can match your experience with future openings. You can also sign-up for jobs alerts and receive notifications about opportunities matching your interests and skills.
After You Apply
How do I know if my online application was received?
After you submit your application, you’ll see a message on the web page that says "Your application has been sent. Thank you!” We’ll also send you a notification confirming we have we have received your application.
How do I find out about the status of my application?
Sign in to your account by clicking "My Profile". In the "Jobs Applied” section, all of the positions for which you have submitted applications for will be listed with links to the job postings. The status of your application is located in the box for each position below the job title.
How do I self-schedule an interview?
You can access our interview self-scheduling tool by clicking the link in your email from PSE. If you no longer have the email, please login to your profile. Click “options” and select “schedule interview” from the drop down menu.
How do I access my offer letter?
You can access your offer letter by clicking the link in your email from your Recruiter. If you no longer have the email, please login to your profile. Click “options” and select “offer letter” from the drop down menu.
Technical Questions
What if I forget or lose my password?
A password reset with instructions can be sent to your email. You can request a password reset by clicking on the "Forgot your password?" link on the My Profile sign in page.
What happens if I am unable to finish completing my profile or application?
For security reasons, your session will time out after 30 minutes of inactivity so make sure you save your changes. You can then complete your application by logging into your account and reviewing your “Saved Applications”.
Can I submit an updated resume for a job that I’ve already applied for?
No, the resume you submitted for the position is not able to be altered.
How do I sign out?
If you're completing an application on a shared device (e.g. friend’s phone, public kiosk, or library), fully sign out of the application. Select the "Sign Out" button in the upper right corner of your page, then close your browser. This will ensure that no one else can access any personal information you may have entered.
Who do I contact if I'm having technical difficulties using the site?

Privacy
Will my privacy be protected when I submit my application?
PSE is committed to protecting personal information provided to us. When you submit your application, your personal information will be used only for recruitment and hiring purposes. View our Privacy Page at https://www.pse.com/pages/privacy.
Who can access my information?
If you have applied for a specific posting, the hiring team will have access to your data relevant to that particular posting in order to make an informed decision. PSE’s Human Resources team will have access to your data as well.

If I created a resume on the old website, where is my profile?
PSE recently upgraded their website, and you are now a part of a new user experience. You will need to complete a new online profile and upload your resume into the system.
Can I apply with my phone, tablet, etc.?
Yes! The great news is that you can easily apply from your phone or tablet with PSE’s new website.
Should I tailor my resume?
Yes, absolutely tailor your resume to the specific role you would like to apply to! Take the time to focus your resume to include the key skills and qualifications you will bring to the new role.
