Job Description
Puget Sound Energy is looking for an IT Manager Digital Workplace Experience (M2) to help stand up and lead our new organization, IT Digital Workplace Experience.
Rapid technological advancement requires organizations to optimize their technology investments for maximum value. To address this critical business need, we are establishing a dedicated team focused on training and educating employees to effectively utilize both current and future enterprise technology assets. This role will collaborate with Officers, Directors and their teams to design and implement comprehensive, continuous education initiatives that extend far beyond conventional project completion cycles.
Through our experiences over the past year, we've learned that our traditional approach of creating training documentation, launching a product, and then moving to the next initiative does not adequately prepare our employees to take full advantage of capabilities available to them. With more changes and new tools coming their way, we need a dedicated focus on ensuring they have knowledge on how best to use these tools.
The successful candidate will lead initiatives across several critical areas:
- Strategic Partnership - Collaborating with Officers and Directors company-wide to understand departmental needs and technology utilization gaps
- Custom Education Programs - Building customer-specific and recurring training plans for each department, creating tailored educational opportunities that make sense for individual teams and their workflows
- Enterprise Tool Expertise - Focusing primarily on Digital Workplace tools including OneDrive, SharePoint Online, Copilot, and Intune, while also supporting other enterprise solutions such as our upcoming VPN solution
- Sustained Learning - Ensuring education continues after project completion, addressing the current gap where learning stops once OCM hands off the project
- Metrics & Analytics – Creating and monitoring adoption rates, user satisfaction, and identifying areas where additional support is needed
- Cross-functional Collaboration - Working alongside our OCM teams during project delivery while taking ownership of long-term educational sustainability
This new team and role represents a critical evolution in how we approach technology adoption at PSE. While OCM will continue to play an essential part in how we deliver new functionality, this team will ensure that learning and optimization continue long after project completion – filling a significant gap we've identified as we've delivered numerous new capabilities over the past year.
