PSE's IT Infrastructure team is looking for qualified candidates to fill an open Sr IT Technology Analyst position!

Job Description

Puget Sound Energy’s IT Enterprise Technology Solutions (ETS) Department currently a team that supports PSE’s Infrastructure Compliance Work. This position will oversee and streamline ETS compliance processes while improving efficiencies and ensure compliance adherence through continual improvement, positive working relationships, education, and automation.

Duties will include coordination and support of compliance-related activities, including documentation development for operational processes, assistance with the compilation of data for submission of evidence and procedures. There will also be opportunities to assist in the development of operationalizing compliance capabilities within the department. The ideal candidate will collaborate with IT’s Compliance organization to plan, develop and implement processes and programs within IT Infrastructure (ETS) to ensure the company meets all regulatory requirements. This position will support IT Infrastructure (ETS) advising on regulatory requirements in collaboration with the IT Compliance organization.

Job Responsibilities

  • Monitors and develops operational metrics. Stays informed of current and changing compliance requirements.
  • Coordinates with compliance personnel in other departments to meet compliance standards, requirements, and timelines.
  • Responds in a timely manner for day to day requests from other IT Infrastructure teams on compliance matters.
  • Provides support for compliance documentation filings.
  • Tracks documentation requests and requirements to ensure timely completion and submission.
  • Provides any follow-up requested by IT Compliance and Corporate Compliance on documentation.
  • Provides notice of compliance requirements to appropriate personnel.
  • Proposes and facilitates approved changes to system documentation and processes to streamline infrastructure service work.  
  • Maintains expertise on relevant compliance requirements, standards, and associated PSE processes and procedures associated with the compliance standards.
  • Examines information systems in order to retrieve data to support evidence of compliance to established processes and procedures.
  • Support personnel with questions and clarifications on issues of compliance procedures and processes.
  • Compile, format, finalize and submit documentation to meet scheduled submissions of procedures and evidence.
  • Provide quality checks and controls on documentation generated to support compliance-related activities, ensuring documentation adheres to guidelines, standards, and requirements for compliance.
  • Provides infrastructure services support and procedure guidelines to systems areas through documentation.
  • Has base knowledge of infrastructure services and is familiar with IT organizational structure. Analyzes and coordinates resolution of compliance issues within infrastructure services.
  • Establish capabilities to assure and improve the timeliness, efficiency, and comprehensiveness of compliance processes, procedures, and documentation.
  • Operates under general supervision.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience in related field, or combination of specialized training or experience and five years of directly relevant experience.
  • Expertise in process design, reengineering, and requirements  management and documentation methodologies.
  • Experience in requirements management, diagramming, use case development (UML).
  • Solid understanding of IT Infrastructure services and delivery processes.. 
  • Demonstrated team leadership and facilitation techniques.
  • Some experience in business case development.
  • Has a strong understanding of information systems, business processes, the key drivers and measures of success for the relevant business.
  • Must be a self-starter. 
  • Demonstrated creative thinking and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook and Visio.

Desired Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of Business Continuity methodology.
  • Working knowledge of Incident Command System (ICS), NIMS or other related emergency management and disaster response standard.
  • Experience performing compliance and internal control activities for significant business segments within an organization
  • Experience providing leadership to achieve compliance and business objectives
  • IT Infrastructure or proven related experience.
  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Certification.
  • Previous experience managing small to mid-sized projects.
