PSE's IT Infrastructure team is looking for qualified candidates to fill an open Manager IT Network and Voice position!

Job Description

PSE is seeking a dynamic Manager, IT Network and Voice to lead our Network and Voice engineering team. While PSE is an energy company, we operate a robust network infrastructure built on our transport backbone with two state-of-the-art data centers supporting over 3,000 employees across our organization.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience in network and voice infrastructure management
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing technical teams
  • Understanding of utility operations and business requirements
  • Experience with SD-WAN deployment and management
  • Ability to plan, execute, and deliver network infrastructure projects on time and budget
  • Experience with IT budgeting and cost optimization
  • Strong understanding of business continuity, disaster recovery, and security risk assessment
  • Knowledge of contact center technologies and integration capabilities
  • Vendor relationship management experience
  • Passion for modernizing infrastructure and driving innovation

Job Responsibilities

Network Infrastructure Leadership:

  • Lead and manage the Network and Voice engineering team
  • Oversee the deployment of SD-WAN solutions at remote generation plants and other locations as part of our Grid Modernization initiatives
  • Drive modernization of network and voice infrastructure to deliver next-level connectivity to business offices, generation sites, and substations across our vast Washington territory. spanning from Blaine in the north to Goldendale in the south

 

Voice Systems Management:

  • Manage in-house voice systems supporting our entire employee base
  • Collaborate with business partners to elevate our contact center capabilities, enabling more effective customer service for our 1.5 million customers
  • Work cross-functionally to identify opportunities for automation and integration with existing data systems
  • Enhance contact center functionality through strategic technology implementations

 

Strategic Operations:

  • Oversee critical vendor relationships to improve monitoring and observability capabilities
  • Develop proactive approaches to network and voice system management
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand challenges and identify innovative solutions
  • Support Grid Modernization initiatives through strategic network planning and implementation
  • Participate in technology road mapping and infrastructure planning sessions

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent work experience
  • 5 years’ experience in network systems. Strong technical knowledge, with hands-on experience managing network environments; knowledge of relevant technologies and tools applicable to assigned area(s)
  • Proven experience in managing operations and maintenance of WLAN/LAN/MAN.WAN in multiplatform environments
  • Thorough understanding of distributed network architecture and design, LAN/WAN topologies 

Desired Qualifications

  • Comprehensive understanding of LAN/WLAN/WAN/MAN technologies and LAN management and application suites
  • Preferred hands-on experience with Cisco products and solutions
  • A strong background in IT infrastructure and technology deployment
  • Prior experience with VoIP technologies
  • Proven ability to manage an Enterprise IP Telephony solution
  • Highly desirable certifications for this position include:
    • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
    • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
    • Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE)

The pay range for this position is $135,600.00 - $239,900.00, and this position is eligible for annual goals based incentive bonuses.
