PSE's Electric Operations team is looking for qualified candidates to fill an open Crew Dispatcher position!

Specific details regarding the work arrangements for this position will be discussed in further detail during the interview process.

Job Description

Dispatch line crews, servicemen, service distribution inspectors and other operating personnel for the construction, maintenance, inspection, and operation of overhead and underground systems consistent with Puget practices and safety regulations. This includes receiving and recording of new service orders and reports incidental to line and service construction and maintenance. Perform similar and incidental duties as required.

This job is considered “safety sensitive” as defined in RCW 49.44.240 and is subject to pre-employment drug screening that includes screening for the presence of marijuana and marijuana metabolites.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicant must be a qualified journeyman lineman or equivalent. Must have knowledge of the fundamentals of electricity as pertains to utility systems as well as knowledge of wiring codes and practices. Must have knowledge of the overhead and underground systems in the area assigned. Be familiar with line material and the Company line construction and maintenance Standard Practices and accounting system as applied to overhead and underground system work, and ability to maintain necessary records and make required reports. Must have ability to communicate effectively with Company personnel and the public.

Job Conditions and Physical Effort:

The duties and responsibilities are performed in an office environment. The position generally involves continuous sitting, occasional standing and walking, light lifting, frequent bending and reaching and keyboard and telephone operation.

The environmental conditions generally include ambient inside temperature, lighting and noise levels.

The pay range for this position is $66.56 - $66.56, and this position is eligible for annual goals based incentive bonuses.
