Job Description

Puget Sound Energy, Bothell, WA seeks Sr. Application Configuration Analysts, responsible for Test, maintain, and monitor computer programs and systems and carrying out detailed system design and writes functional and technical requirements/specs, develops test plans and applies testing and quality monitoring procedures and developing Functional Specification and Design Document for customizations, enhancements, interfaces, reports and conversion programs for SAP ABAP team.

Job Responsibilities

Sr. Application Configuration Analyst - Test, maintain, and monitor computer programs and systems and carrying out detailed system design and writes functional and technical requirements/specs, develops test plans and applies testing and quality monitoring procedures and developing Functional Specification and Design Document for customizations, enhancements, interfaces, reports and conversion programs for SAP ABAP team.  Coordinate and link computer systems work on implementation of best in class Work Management (SAP Enterprise Asset Management - EAM) solutions like Click Software, SAP Work Manager and their integration with existing business applications at PSE  including SAP Mobile Asset Management for SAP IS-Utilities implementations.  Define the goals of the system and devise flow charts and perform CIS and EAM implementations and provide production support for both.  Perform integration between SAP and AMI/meter systems and implementing knowledge of service notifications and service orders for gas and electric meters, including knowledge of plant maintenance and work management modules in SAP.  Assess the usefulness of pre-developed application packages and adapt to user environment to include implementing understanding of BPEM/EMMA cases (Billing Exceptions) in ISU and billing schedule, Energy Data Management, BDEX tools, Regional Structure and ISU technical master data.  Troubleshooting program and system malfunctions to restore normal functioning and diagnosing complex problems and developing and implementing solutions in an SAP ISU Device Management and Plant Maintenance environment, effectively understanding relevant business processes so that they can be modeled in internal systems.  Perform analysis and solution of business problems to include developing and maintaining scope and objectives for internal systems requirements as defined by the organization inclusive of SAP ISU modules and affected applications to allow for programming business rules into said systems.  Performing complex and demanding tasks dealing with the analysis, design, configuration, development and implementation of solutions serving business line and functional units to include Data Conversion from legacy system to SAP ECC.  Develop, document and revise system design procedures, test procedures, and quality standards, providing guidance to business and functional units in developing  and training staff and users to work tests and training plans and materials to include liaising with the business requirement and develop SAP Solutions and Implementation Strategy.  Conduct SAP Plant Maintenance Master data workshop related to objects such as Main Work center, Equipment, Functional Location, Material BOM, Maintenance Item, Task List, Class/Characteristics, Codes Groups and Code Values, Measuring Points and Counter.  Configuration of PM objects such as: Notifications, Orders, Preventative Maintenance Cycles, Plans, Settlement Rules, Costing Sheets, Compatible Units, Linear Assets, etc. in SAP ECC.  Provide staff and users with assistance solving computer related problems, such as malfunctions and program as it relates to using SAP Breakpoints, Debug commands and Trace. 

 

Minimum Qualifications

Requires Masters (or foreign educ. equiv.) Degree in Engineering field, Computer Science or related Three (3) yrs. exp. in Job Offered or related.  Alternatively, will accept Bachelor’s (or foreign educ. equiv.) Degree in Engineering field, Computer Science or related and Five (5) yrs. (post-degree, progressive) exp. in Job Offered or related.  Experience must have included Implementing SAP Work Management and Plant Maintenance and Involved in all phases up to the Full Implementation and Hypercare Support phase of the project for Utility Client; Worked with integrating SAP Mobile Asset Management for SAP IS Utilities Implementations; Liaising with customer on the business requirement and develop SAP Solutions and Implementation Strategy; Preparing test plans, test script and test cases; Working with end user teams to mediate, resolve incidents, UAT, problems and find solutions so as to help in the day to day smooth transacting of the SAP systems; Configuring and maintaining service order, notification processing and catalog codes in clients SAP system; Performing Data Conversion from legacy system to SAP ECC; Developing Functional Specification and Design Document for customizations, enhancements, interfaces, reports and conversion programs for ABAP team; and Conducting SAP Plant Maintenance Master data workshop related to objects including Main Workcenter, Equipment, Functional Location, Material BOM, Maintenance item, Task list, Class/Characteristics, Codes Groups and Codes, Measuring Points and Counter.
