PSE's Customer Operations team is looking for qualified candidates to fill an open Customer Field Representative I position!


Specific details regarding the work arrangements for this position will be discussed in further detail during the interview process.

Job Description

This is not a pathway to apprenticeship position, this posting is for a permanent Customer Field Rep.

 

The shift for this position is Tuesday–Saturday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

 

This job is under federal regulation by the Department of Transportation (DOT) and is subject to pre-employment and random drug screenings that include screening for the presence of marijuana and marijuana metabolites.

Job Responsibilities

The position is responsible for providing “on premise” customer assistance throughout PSE service area and performing other duties in the position summary. Examples of responsibilities include advising customers of a need to sign for service, gathering reads from the meter, discussing past due balances with customers, reporting potential rate discrepancies, reporting theft situations including tampering and energy diversion,  and dealing with customer service disconnects and reconnects.

  • Perform collection task
  • Disconnect single phase self-contained meters
  • Reconnect single phase self-contained meters
  • Work with customers throughout PSE service areas to obtain meter check reads, meter verifications, and resolve access problems
  • Perform similar and incidental duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Previous minimum education and training should include a high school diploma or GED.

Must include possession of a valid Washington State driver’s license.

One (1) year customer field technician, maintenance, utility construction labor, or warehouse experience within the most recent three (3) years.

Previous on the job professional driving experience desired.

JOB CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT

 

The duties and responsibilities are performed in both an office and outdoor environment. The position generally involved occasional sitting, frequent standing, frequent walking, light to moderate lifting, light to moderate carrying, frequent bending and reaching, occasional kneeling, twisting, balancing, climbing, keyboard operation, telephone operation and operation of tools and equipment.

 

The environment conditions generally include working in a variety of weather conditions to include all noise levels, hazardous conditions, and working on a full range of outdoor work surfaces. The frequent use of protective clothing is required to perform certain task. Requires the operation of a vehicle. May require irregular work schedule and overtime hours.

The pay range for this position is $33.74 - $33.74, and this position is eligible for annual goals based incentive bonuses.
