PSE's Customer Init & Continuous Improvement team is looking for qualified candidates to fill an open Training Coordinator position!

Job Description

Assists trainers, consultants and others in organizing, coordinating, preparing, and delivering training and educational programs, which may include employee orientations, technical training and other programs unique to the business unit. Maintains records on training activities. Monitors and makes recommendations on the effectiveness of training programs. Coordinates the promotion, enrollment, vendor contracts and logistics for internal or external training programs.

 

Upholds the safety compliance standards inherent in PSE’s operating and/or field procedures related to work responsibilities. Promotes and supports a culture of total safety.

Job Responsibilities

  • Designs and applies basic evaluation tools. 
  • Coordinates assessment of training program results, gives feedback/suggestions for improvement to internal and contract trainers and business unit management. 
  • Assists Department Trainers in organizing, coordinating, preparing for and delivering training sessions for the department.
  • Modifies and may create training materials, outlines, aids, web sites and other supporting materials or processes.
  • Plans and develops overall communication and promotion of programs via the web and other resources.
  • Administers training enrollment system and overall tracking of training metrics and reports.
  • Provides oversight of training logistics to assure the best possible participant experience.
  • Oversees training provider contracts, invoice accuracy, training budgets, and performance quality.
  • Administers other development programs as needed.
  • May deliver training on occasion.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • AA or Bachelors degree in a related field and 2 years experience in training coordination, event planning or program administration or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Experience working and communicating effectively with executives, professional vendors and employees all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to compose and edit written materials.
  • Excellent verbal and presentation skills.
  • Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and web site maintenance.

Desired Qualifications

  • Basic understanding of adult learning concepts, evaluation methods and training design.
  • Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or Education.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems.
