PSE's IT Application Solutions team is looking for qualified candidates to fill an open Lead Data Governance Analyst position!
Specific details regarding the work arrangements for this position will be discussed in further detail during the interview process.

Job Description

  • PSE is embarking on a data enablement journey to drive data driven decisions that support its Beyond Net Zero Carbon goals. A big part of that journey is the implementation of data governance including data stewardship, data quality, data security, and a data glossary and catalog. The Lead Data Governance Analyst will help build PSE’s data governance strategy and lead the implementation of that strategy. They will work with teams throughout the organization to generate excitement about data governance and support data governance projects. 

  • Upholds the safety compliance standards inherent in PSE’s operating and/or field procedures related to work responsibilities. Promotes and supports a culture of total safety.

  • Demonstrates commitment to conduct business honestly, ethically and consistent with our core values and Code of Conduct.  Ensures duties are performed in accordance with all regulatory compliance obligations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively and cross functionally to identify and implement key governance capabilities in support of business and data strategy objectives
  • Build and maintain data quality reporting
  • Identify, assess and develop action plans for data issues
  • Develop policies, standards, and roles to support the data governance program
  • Champion data governance across the organization
  • Will create and manage Organizational Change Management items related to data governance such as creation of training materials and overall communication. 
  • Can identify and document emerging business requirements. Can intelligently question business partners to identify unique value drivers.
  • Can identify commonalities and suggest a consistent approach across projects in the absence of standards.
  • Can engage with the business in their normal day to day environment and can effectively convey their needs to IT teams in order to deliver value and benefit.
  • Coordinates implementation of the system hardware and software when needed to support project deliverables.
  • Resolves highly complex problems, often collaborating with other experts to do so. Updates or creates documentation in collaboration with others from within or across teams.
  • Operates under limited direction.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of experience in related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience and eight years of directly relevant experience.
  • Solid experience in requirements management, diagramming, use case development.
  • Expertise in process design, reengineering, requirements management and documentation methodologies.
  • Solid understanding of IT services and delivery processes.
  • Experience as an administrator and/or configuring Data Governance tools (e.g. Informatica, Collibra, etc.).
  • Must have a strong knowledge of data governance practices.
  • Passionate about data.
  • Proven team leadership and facilitation techniques.
  • Experience in business case development.
  • Has a strong understanding of information systems, business processes, the key drivers and measures of success for the relevant business.
  • Expertise in process design and documentation methodologies, and design and production of quality deliverables, process and use case modeling, business case development
  • Must be a self-starter.
  • Demonstrated creative thinking and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Project and Visio.
  • Prior experience managing small to mid-sized projects.
  • Familiarity with project life cycles.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with Informatica's Unified Data Platform
  • Experience with SQL and visualization tools (e.g. Power BI or Tableau)
