PSE's Transformation & Strategy Enablement team is looking for qualified candidates to fill an open Enterprise Performance Consultant position!

Job Description

Puget Sound Energy’s Transformation, Strategy & Enablement (TSE) team is seeking an Enterprise Performance Consultant to develop advanced analytics, build performance dashboards, and deliver actionable insights across the business. This role partners with stakeholders to gather requirements, create analytical models, and build minimum viable product (MVP) solutions that can be refined through iterative development.

 

The consultant will maintain a suite of 25+ Power BI/Fabric dashboards, guide KPI design and visualization standards, and support data integrations across PSE’s architecture—including APIs and data sources such as SAP BW/BI, flat files, and Data Lake environments.

 

This position also produces executive level insights, ensures data quality and reliability, and leads high impact analytics projects. The role includes mentoring junior team members and helping strengthen PSE’s enterprise analytics capabilities.

Job Responsibilities

  • Conducts comprehensive assessments of organizational performance and identifies improvement opportunities.
  • Develops and implements tailored performance improvement strategies and action plans.  
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to understand their analytical needs and provides strategic recommendations for optimizing performance.
  • Ensures enterprise adherence to visual management standards.
  • Designs and implements tailored data-driven solutions that align with business objectives and enhance operational outcomes.
  • Formulates the measurement of long-term business strategies based on market trends, competitive analysis, and performance data.
  • Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of implemented strategies.  Provides ongoing support and recommendations as necessary.
  • Prepares and presents detailed reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate findings and insights to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Stays current with industry trends, technologies, and methodologies relevant to data analytics and performance improvement.
  • Cultivates strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment of performance improvement initiatives with overall organizational goals.
  • Mentors and guides junior analysts in analytical techniques, data interpretation, and presentation skills.
  • Conduct peer reviews of queries and dashboards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, data analytics, engineering, statistics, economics, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Green Belt Certification in Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies or equivalent experience and education.
  • Eight (8) years of experience in performance analysis, data analytics, or consulting roles with a focus on driving performance improvement.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python, and/or R) and visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and effectively communicate findings to diverse audiences.
  • Advanced analytical skills with experience using data analysis tools and industry standard methodologies.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills with a strategic mindset.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Experience mentoring junior analysts in analytical techniques, data interpretation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively.  

Desired Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in business administration, data analytics, engineering, statistics, economics, or other related field.
  • Black Belt Certification in Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies or equivalent experience and education.
  • Expert in performance measurement frameworks and methodologies.
  • Utility industry experience.

The pay range for this position is $108,200.00 - $180,200.00, and this position is eligible for annual goals based incentive bonuses.
