Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Technical Product Owner to join our Enterprise Integration Services team. This role involves leading technical product strategy, managing complex stakeholder relationships, and driving the delivery of enterprise-scale integration solutions while ensuring alignment with business goals and technology standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical product management, system integration, and cloud technologies, with a passion for translating business vision into technical reality and continuous improvement. Additionally, you'll help shape the future of our product development by partnering with development teams and mentoring cross-functional collaboration to drive excellence in product delivery as a cohesive, efficient, and productive organization. Job Responsibilities
- Deep understanding of backend technologies (C#.Net, Web API, ASP.Net) to effectively evaluate technical solutions and make MVP feasibility recommendations.
- Strong foundation in data structures and algorithms to support technical decision-making and scope management.
- Proven experience managing relationships with executive leadership and business stakeholders, including Customer Journey Managers, to translate vision into detailed user stories and technical requirements.
- Experience maintaining alignment between technical deliverables and business value while managing stakeholder expectations, timelines, and cost accountability.
- Product management experience with AWS services (S3, SQS, SNS, Event Bridge) and serverless technologies (Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions).
- Ability to partner with Cloud Services and Infrastructure teams to translate infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) requirements into product roadmaps and system designs.
- Experience owning relationships with Information and Cyber Security teams to integrate security requirements into early product planning.
- Advanced experience in Agile environments, including sequencing user stories, leading sprint planning, and holding cross-functional teams accountable to commitments.
- Demonstrated partnership with Development Leads and Application Development Leads (ADL) on project estimates, timelines, and performance feedback/scoring for team members.
- Experience partnering with Test Engineers to ensure comprehensive test coverage, approve test plans, and drive resolution of performance testing blockers.
- Knowledge of performance monitoring tools (Dynatrace, Splunk) to establish quality metrics and standards.
- Experience with NoSQL (DynamoDB, Astra DB) and in-memory databases (Redis, Memcached) for product planning.
- Understanding modern web technologies (JavaScript, TypeScript, ReactJS) and user experience principles.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices using Azure DevOps to execute deployment plans for complex technical solutions.
- Experience developing and communicating warranty support plans and post-deployment strategies.
- Strong communication skills tailored for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- AWS Certification is a plus; experience in the utility or energy sector and a background in enterprise-scale distributed systems is preferred.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Two (2) year degree or certification in a technology-related field or equivalent combination of education, work experience or relevant military experience, and at least six (6) years of experience in related field.
- Solid experience in requirements management, diagramming, use case development (UML).
- Expertise in process design, reengineering, requirements management and documentation methodologies.
- Solid understanding of IT infrastructure services and delivery processes.
- Proven team leadership and facilitation techniques.
- Experience in business case development.
- Has a strong understanding of information systems, business processes, the key drivers and measures of success for the relevant business.
- Expertise in process design and documentation methodologies, and design and production of quality deliverables, process and use case modeling, business case development.
- Must be a self-starter.
- Demonstrated creative thinking and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Project and Visio.
- Prior experience managing small to mid-sized projects.
- Familiarity with project life cycles.
Desired Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree.
- 5+ years of technical product management experience with a proven ability to lead technical discovery, scope recognition, and feasibility assessments.
- Customer centric focus with demonstrated ability to apply insights to meet customer technology needs and improve IT maturity.
- Proven experience working independently and/or in a team environments to deliver on initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to drive for results to deliver against commitments.
- Growth mindset to rapidly learn new skills and be able to collaborate to deliver creative IT solutions.
- Solid verbal and written communications skills; ability to present and discuss technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others, and gains understanding.
- IT infrastructure or proven related experience.
- Certified Business Analysis Professional.
- Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certification.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

The pay range for this position is $118,300.00 - $208,000.00, and this position is eligible for annual goals based incentive bonuses.
