PSE's IT Project Management Office team is looking for qualified candidates to fill an open Sr IT Communications Analyst position!

Job Description

  • Provide writing services with a multi-channel approach in mind: email, e-newsletters, print collateral, infographics and other online content. This includes support for system and other technical documentation as well as helping status technical work IT is doing.
  • Provide editing, proofing and quality assurance to ensure simplicity, customer focus and consistency in messaging across all channels, with an eye towards translating technical communications into “business speak”
  • Consult with IT team members on department sites, surveys, forms, infographics and more
  • Measure, analyze and report on the effectiveness of IT communication with an eye towards continuous improvement and improved customer satisfaction
  • Manage IT’s online presence, including oversight of both business-facing and IT-facing SharePoint sites
  • Develop integrated IT strategic marketing and communication plans
  • Develop best practices for reaching our community of business partners, IT leadership and team members to share IT information, including outage communications and alerts
  • Manages and cultivates the relationships with internal customers and project teams.
  • Upholds the safety compliance standards inherent in PSE’s operating and/or field procedures related to work responsibilities. Promotes and supports a culture of total safety.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience in related field, or combination of specialized training or experience and five years of directly relevant experience.
  • Expertise in process design, reengineering, and requirements management and documentation methodologies.
  • Experience in requirements management, diagramming, use case development (UML).
  • Solid understanding of IT services and delivery processes.
  • Demonstrated team leadership and facilitation techniques.
  • Some experience in business case development.
  • Has a strong understanding of information systems, business processes, the key drivers and measures of success for the relevant business.
  • Must be a self-starter.
  • Demonstrated creative thinking and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Project, Excel, Outlook and Visio.

Desired Qualifications

  • Advanced degree, such as a Masters degree in communications or related field
  • Advanced knowledge of PSE, including its mission, vision, goals, policies and operations; strong knowledge of IT operations and technologies with understanding of how IT supports PSE
  • Exceptional communication skills; ability to communicate effectively across teams and levels, while balancing the needs and requirements of internal and external customers
  • Previous web design experience, including SharePoint configuration
  • Flexibility and ability to prioritize in a changing business environment
  • Motivated by a fast paced and highly entrepreneurial environment
  • Demonstrated ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a fast-paced environment; ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
