PSE's Local Government & Community Engagement team is looking for qualified candidates to fill an open Sr Community Engagement Representative position!

Job Description

Puget Sound Energy’s Local Government and Community Engagement organization is looking for a Senior Community Engagement Representative to engage with the various community-based organizations operating and providing outreach in King County.  This Senior Community Engagement Representative will report through our Bellevue headquarters. 

 

This position will manage a wide range of complex community issues including energy use, land use, equity, diversity and inclusion.  The successful candidate needs to be a practicing professional who successful builds relationships and coalitions to help move meaningful community initiatives forward.  While this position works independently on the most part, the success candidate will have a strong ability to work as part of a larger team and have a keen understanding of how to integrate onto highly performing teams.

Job Responsibilities
  • Works as a team member of a larger public affairs team providing assistance as needed for the success of the entire organization
  • Develops and works with key community opinion leaders and those managing key community organizations in the non-profit, education, environment, equity and social justice communities. 
  • Represents PSE in all King County communities.
  • Collaboratively work with PSE’s products and services, regulatory, energy efficiency and major project teams to provide community insights and counsel
  • Develops and provides data collection, interpretation and management in the community engagement and investment space
  • Develops and manages key internal subject matter expert relations
Minimum Qualifications
  • 7 years community relations, customer service and/or operations experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
  • 5 years experience developing relationships within and outside an organization. Ability to create effective partnerships at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience in building/developing programs in relation to customers or products.
  • Excellent customer relations skills including problem solving and conflict resolution.
  • Excellent communications skills (oral, written, listening)
  • Superior analytical, coaching, teambuilding and diplomacy skills.
  • Ability to work well in a matrix environment.
  • Uncompromising ethics and integrity.
Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, communications or public affairs.
  • Knowledge of CIS, workforce management tools, call center applications, and MS office.
  • Understanding of PSE’s energy efficiency programs, requirements and applications.
  • Knowledge of new customer construction processes including application requirements.
  • Knowledge of rates, tariffs, RCW and WAC rules, credit and collection revenue requirements, business processes as they relate to revenue management and other departments.
  • Previous office managerial experience and/or knowledge of collective bargaining agreements.
