PSE's Project Delivery team is looking for qualified candidates to fill an open Performance Consultant position!

Job Description

Puget Sound Energy’s Infrastructure (gas and electric transmission and distribution) Program Management (IPM) is looking for a Performance and Change Consultant to support PSE’s Grid Modernization initiative. 

PSE’s Grid Modernization initiative is taking a holistic approach to updating and improving our infrastructure to create a grid that is reliable, resilient, smart, and flexible. Grid modernization will be safe and designed to meet our customers’ unique energy needs and expectations. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Evaluates, recommends, and implements strategies to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of
  • service, processes, reliability, and compliance processes including alignment with other priorities and
  • technology initiatives.
  • Researches and analyzes available data and recommends and/or implements appropriate actions to
  • achieve results.
  • Uses sophisticated analytics and statistical methods to study and analyze available data and to
  • determine trends, root cause, metrics, leading and lagging indicators.
  • Develops, prepares and present analysis and reports.
  • Ensures quality and consistency of methodology, metrics, analysis, and documentation.
  • Provides support for other departmental and corporate priorities and projects. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or technology; or equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
  • 7 years of experience successfully leading/implementing multi-disciplined projects and initiatives.
  • 7 years of experience utilizing high-involvement process improvement or change management techniques/tools.
  • Certification in both structured and informal process improvement or change management methodologies.
  • Demonstrated passion for continuous improvement.
  • Experience facilitating large groups.
  • Ability to quickly build trust and value-based relationships with employees at all levels of the organization.  Understanding of change management concepts and techniques.  Strong coaching and influencing skills. 
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast paced environment.  Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to take initiative and work both independently and as a part of a team to drive results.
  • Excellent coaching and influencing skills.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels with the ability to present information in a professional manner.
  • Ability to prepare and present to the director/executive level.
  • Ability to influence without authority.

Desired Qualifications

  • MS Industrial Engineering, MBA, or related post-graduate degree
  • Experience leading with influence and gaining consensus with stakeholders
  • Experience managing conflict 
  • Experience with PowerBI, extracting data from SAP and other data sources, and presenting information in an intuitive manner
  • Excellent organizational, analysis, and problem solving skills including applying analysis to study complex and unique business issues
