PSE's Office of Controller team is looking for qualified candidates to fill an open Senior Accountant position!

Job Description
Performs complex accounting and analysis functions, under general direction. This role combines technical expertise with leadership responsibilities to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement.
Maintains and monitors SOX procedures and controls to ensure strong internal controls environment. Collaborates with internal stakeholders to provide quality service and support, while identifying opportunities for process improvements.
Upholds the safety compliance standards inherent in PSE’s operating and/or field procedures related to work responsibilities. Promotes and supports a culture of total safety.
Demonstrates commitment to conduct business honestly, ethically and consistent with our core values and Code of Conduct. Ensures duties are performed in accordance with all regulatory compliance obligations.
Job Responsibilities
- Performs complex accounting, analysis and/or billing functions.
- Prepares, evaluates, and maintains data computed using complex financial analysis.
- Evaluates and implements changes related to regulatory and GAAP compliance.
- Prepares journal entries and reconciles accounts.
- Participates in the maintenance of the general ledger and/or other automated systems and databases.
- Prepares and reviews internal, external, and regulatory financial reports.
- Utilizes strong communication skills to respond to requests received from management and other departments.
- Leads or participates on special projects/research within the department.
- Complies with internal controls and actively updates and tests SOX 404 procedures.
- May act as a subject matter expert.
- Reviews the work of other accountants.
- Provides training and guidance to less experienced staff and cross-trains with other staff members.

Minimum Qualifications
- BA/BS in Business, Finance, or Accounting or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
- 3+ years of directly relevant accounting experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP and technical application
- Strong ability to effectively analyze and report on financial information
- Strong verbal and written skills
- Strong PC skills (including Excel, Word, Access)
Desired Qualifications
- Leadership, mentorship, and coaching skills
- Experience with SAP
- Sytems implementations experience.
- Certified Public Accountant or candidate
- Advanced Degree

The pay range for this position is $82,000.00 - $136,300.00, and this position is eligible for annual goals based incentive bonuses.
