PSE's Corporate Communications team is looking for qualified candidates to fill an open Marketing Program Manager position!

Job Description

PSE is committed to carbon reduction and supporting the growth of electric transportation in our region.  The role will be an integral part of PSE’s Transportation Electrification (TE) team, and is responsible for developing and implementing integrated marketing and communications strategies and tactical execution for PSE’s TE programs, in alignment with Product Development and Growth and corporate objectives. This role will measure campaign and marketing program performance, optimize campaigns, track marketing spend and return on investment and communicate results.

Job Responsibilities
  • Develops and implements marketing program strategies and tactics to achieve PSE’s Transportation Electrification program objectives for new and existing programs for residential and commercial customers.
  • Project management of marketing plan deliverables, timeline and production ensuring campaign, messaging and branding alignment across channels. Includes developing creative briefs, production grids, copy and creative review, and managing to deadlines. Primary liaison between marketing communications and TE product team.
  • Works with product marketing, product development, and product operations team to gain approval of plan and budget and ensure marketing strategies, tactics and content  align with TE program strategy, positioning and objectives.
  • Tracks marketing program KPIs and forecasts and manages marketing budget. Reports results to TE product team and other internal stakeholders. 
  • Collaborates and works closely with internal strategic communications leads in brand, outreach, events and digital channels on marketing plan deliverables.
  • Identifies and coordinates with external marketing resources and vendors on content development, advertising/media, other partnerships, and additional tactics as needed to execute the marketing plan. Ensures that all assets are reviewed by PSE stakeholders.
  • Builds and maintains editorial calendar for the electric vehicle Education & Outreach program providing input on new topics and content based on industry trends and topical events.
  • Understands where the program’s communications needs and strategy fits in with the broader corporate strategy and leverages opportunities for alignment.
  • Gathers data and analytics to gauge content and marketing effectiveness and optimizes toward high-performing content and distribution channels.  
  • Coordinates customer testing of campaign assets with the digital marketing and brand team, or participates on teams developing customer segmentation for advertising and communications.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, media, marketing, business innovation, business management or related field, and 5 years relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Direct experience in marketing communications with residential, commercial, industrial and/or institutional customers within a corporate and/or advertising agency environment
  • Proven experience in customer communications and engagement process improvement 
  • Proven experience in developing a customer research plan and utilizing research findings to inform and improve upon customer engagement goals, strategies and tactics
  • Knowledge of best in class practices for customer engagement both within and outside of the utility industry
  • Track record of innovation and creative thinking.
  • Proven experience in managing complex projects with cross-functional teams and in an ever-changing and fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of the techniques and processes needed to create a consistent and common voice across customer communications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Skills and experience in collaboration and team building. 
  • Professional level competencies necessary to comprehend, analyze, and influence a wide range of complex business units and corporate-wide initiatives and issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage multiple priorities and irregular schedule commitments..
  • Ability to manage projects, work with other departmental teams and deliver on commitments.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools.
Desired Qualifications
  • LEAN certification, Project Management certification or Six Sigma certification.
  • Broad knowledge of gas and electric utility rates, business objectives, to include operations, customer service, finance, and corporate relations. 
  • Customer touchpoint mapping, assessment and improvement.
