PSE's Security, Risk and Compliance team is looking for qualified candidates to fill an open IT Compliance Program Manager position!

Job Description

Puget Sound Energy’s IT Compliance team is looking for a strategic, experienced professional to join us as an Advisor, IT Security Analyst. In this position, your primary residence must be in Washington State; as part of PSE’s hybrid workforce you may work from home as long as you have a dedicated, quiet workspace with reliable high-speed internet, or from one of many PSE offices throughout the Puget Sound region. Our IT Compliance team ensures that PSE complies with all IT-related regulatory requirements through management of IT processes for financial systems, along with electric transmission and natural gas control systems. We also ensure that all IT Security standards and policies are adhered to through regular audits and assessments. In this position, you will be the program lead for PSE’s IT General Control environment (ITGC) across all in scope SOX systems. You will work directly with our internal and external auditors to ensure that control requirements are clearly defined and implemented, lead training efforts for control performers and certifiers, identify and implement process enhancements to drive program maturity, and report on and track ITGC compliance activities to senior leadership. Effective written and verbal communication skills are key for success in this role and you must also be passionate about mentoring and coaching junior level employees to ensure bench strength and support internal career progression.

Job Responsibilities

  • Creates, delivers, manages, remediates and monitors IT General Controls and other IT-related processes and policies.
  • Provides subject matter expertise on issues of regulatory compliance, including guidance and training.
  • Drives maturity of IT-related compliance programs and ensures compliance with applicable regulatory and best practice frameworks within the IT organization.
  • Designs IT testing procedures to identify and evaluate risk exposures and monitors effectiveness and efficiency of controls.
  • Provides consultation on new/enhanced software applications or tool implementations for implications to existing compliance frameworks.
  • Creates and designs new processes, controls, procedures and policies as necessary.
  • Resolves highly complex problems, often collaborating with other experts to do so.
  • Collaborates with professionals and leaders across the company on compliance matters
  • May provide support or guidance on any IT-related compliance requirement or control as needed.
  • Mentors peers to acquire fine points of professional practice.
  • Operates under limited direction.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Two year degree or certification in a technology-related field or equivalent combination of education, work experience or relevant military experience
  • At least 6 years of experience in related field
