PSE's Corporate Communications team is looking for qualified candidates to fill an open Community Involvement Events Prog Manager position!

Job Description

Develops and implements successful customer engagement event strategies for company programs and initiatives.  Responsibilities include creating alignment between departments and initiatives on key company engagement opportunities.


Partners with internal business partners to develop and strategically target customer engagement events that achieve specific product, program and/or service goals within a specified customer channel. Lead/create, execute and communicate outreach engagement events within the channel to efficiently and effectively reach program targets within a designated budget. Is responsible for executing full event management and/or consultation as appropriate.


Upholds the safety compliance standards inherent in PSE’s operating and/or field procedures related to work responsibilities. Promotes and supports a culture of total safety.


Demonstrates commitment to conduct business honestly, ethically and consistent with our core values and Code of Conduct.  Ensures duties are performed in accordance with all regulatory compliance obligations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversees the management of all event components as a whole including: vendor management, communication/marketing/social plan, design and brand, logistics, cost analysis, and metrics.
  • Looks for opportunities to continuously improve PSE’s reputation and leverage our brand.
  • Provides PSE with consistent, targeted, cost effective, branded, professional events and meetings. Works with internal business partners to successfully meet company goals and objectives.
  • Responsible for executing full event management and/or consultation as appropriate.
  • Strong understanding of PSE programs and services.
  • Manages procurement, inventory of assets and engagement tools.
  • Performs emergency and storm duties.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or related field of study preferred
  • 7 years event management experience, preferably in a corporate environment including skill incorporating corporate messaging into all events
  • Strong project/program management skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, budget development, management and tracking/reporting skills
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities and commitments, and work an irregular schedule
  • Travel may be required

Desired Qualifications

  • Certified Event Planner (CEP) designation
  • Project management experience
  • Proven success with virtual and/or hybrid event design and execution
  • Event lead generation experience
