PSE's Office of Controller team is looking for qualified candidates to fill an open Accountant I - Property Accounting position!

PSE's Property Accounting team, a key group of the Corporate Accounting and Tax group, is looking for a qualified candidate to fill an Accountant I position.

The Accountant I will be joining a dynamic Property Accounting team responsible for managing over $13 Billion (net) of assets that provide gas and electricity to our customers.

The successful candidate for this role will be someone looking to grow and develop their accounting career and will assist PSE in implementing best business practices while encouraging innovation and dedication to customer service and safety. The Accountant will be open-minded and willing to build insightful relationships throughout PSE.

This position reports directly to the Property Accounting Supervisor, and works closely with PSE's Property Accounting team, Controller organization, and business units.

This person will ensure that duties are performed in accordance with all regulatory compliance obligations, and they'll uphold the safety compliance standards inherent in PSE's operating and/or field procedures related to work responsibilities. Job Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Good understanding of GAAP.
Good verbal and written skills.
Strong PC skills (including Excel, Word, Access).

Desired Qualifications

Minimum of 3+ years of accounting experience.
Knowledge and understanding of accounting for fixed assets and capitalization.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with team members and business partners.
Intermediate Excel skills including pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis abilities using tools such as PowerBI or Alteryx.
Understanding of ERP system (SAP preferred) including sub-modules.
Experience with PowerPlan system.
Familiarity with utility operations, FERC, and utility accounting.
Possession of high-level attention to detail, accuracy, and strong analytical skills.

The pay range for this position is $70,200.00 - $99,800.00, and this position is eligible for annual goals based incentive bonuses.
